Turbo Thursday continues to draw big numbers, despite the freezing conditions last week. Participants didn't take long to warm up once Donal started to dish out the medicine. The sessions will continue in the First Fruits Arts Centre in Watergrasshill on Thursday evenings, commencing at 7.30pm. Members and non members are welcome to attend. Anyone wishing to attend simply needs to bring a turbo trainer, mat, and a towel.
Unfortunately, Saturday's cycle fell victim to the freezing conditions. Sunday morning saw a delayed start from Costa Coffee in Little Island. Unfortunately, there were two victims of the cold weather. Simon and Mick refused to partake in case their tootsies got cold.Mick's sporting pursuits in recent weeks have become very worrying. Members have resolved to do everything in their power to wean Mick off the yoga and get him back on the back. To be fair, Simon did have an excuse, having been raised in a tropical climate, he is not used to cold weather. Due to the risk of ice on the roads, the group took the N25 to Castlemartyr and back. There was a welcome coffee at the finish where members compared notes.
Club cycles continue each Saturday and Sunday. The club is always delighted to welcome new members. New members are very welcome to turn up and cycle provided they have a racing bike, a helmet, and are over 18.
