The first spin of the year over the Vee took place last Saturday morning in fantastic conditions. The spin was led by Brian Atkinson and proved very enjoyable. Sunday morning saw two groups leave the village. The first group departed at 8am and repeated the Saturday spin over the Vee. The second group departed at 9am and headed for Glenbrook, where they took the ferry to Carrigaloe. There was a stop for coffee at Cobh Cross before returning to the village via Leamlara.
Turbo training conckuded last Thursday night. This years sessions were the best attended, and proved very beneficial to all participants. A massive thank you to Donal, Nigel, and Brian for organising and running the series. Thank you also to our hosts in the First Fruits Arts Centre. Mid week cycles will commence in the coming weeks, with the predict your time series also set to resume.
Club cycles continue each Saturday and Sunday. The club is always delighted to welcome new members. On Sunday mornings at 9am, all levels of cyclists are catered for, with the group split into 3 levels. New members are very welcome to turn up and cycle provided they have a racing bike, a helmet, and are over 18.
