Members are clocking up the kilometers in preparation for the upcoming Rebel Tour which takes place on the 9th September 2017. Members took to the road in force over the bank holiday weekend. Mick O'Leary and Declan Brady led a group south on Saturday morning. The cycle commenced in Watergrasshill with members joining the peloton in Glanmire and Bishopstown. The climb over Liberty Hill got rid of any cobwebs and quick progress was made to Innishannon. Cycle Saturday 5th August departs Dunnes Stores Bishopstown at 8.30am sharp. Route is 75 km and takes in Old Head of Kinsale. Option for those who wish to leave Watergrasshill at 7.30am sharp and Glanmire at 7.50am sharp. Leaving and returning to Watergrasshill would be 125km in total. The inaugural Hillfest Duathlon took place on Saturday 3rd June. A big entry was blessed with good weather. The event commenced with a 3km run out the Glenville Road. There were some scorching times set at “Predict Your Time” on Wednesday evening (May 10th), with a number of cyclists setting personal bests. Predict your time is nearing completion.
