There were some scorching times set at “Predict Your Time” on Wednesday evening (May 10th), with a number of cyclists setting personal bests. Predict your time is nearing completion. Regular Wednesday evening spins will resume after this. A big thank you to Donal and crew for the time keeping. The Saturday morning crew headed for Doneraile led by club stylist Declan Brady. The tough conditions were rewarded with tea and scones in Doneraile Castle. The group traveled back to Watergrasshill via the middle road from Ballyhooly. The Sunday morning crew split in two, with Mick Gowen leading the first bunch and Donal leading the second. It was great to see Dave and Marie back on the road. A lumpy route headed for Glenville, Carrignavar, Whites Cross, with both groups stopping for coffee in Glanmire village. We bumped into some old friends from Cobh at the coffee stop, and had a great chin wag. Both groups returned to Watergrasshill, avoiding the showers for what was a very enjoyable cycle.
Best of luck to Micheal O’Driscoll who competes in Ironman Lanzarote this weekend. Donncha Cuttriss continues his preparations for the trans am in the USA. Well done to Claire O’Callaghan who completed the Tour de South Coast.
