The main group headed for Lismore on Saturday. Declan Brady led the group on what was a very enjoyable spin. In what was a very innovative move, Deccie had two coffee stops, a bold decision which will keep the other road captains on their toes. A splinter group headed for Youghal and returned via Tallow and Rathcormac. A large group of fifteen left the village on Sunday morning and headed for Midleton via Ballincurrrig and Lisgoold. There was a stop at Cobh Cross for coffee. The speed was upped on the way home, with Edwina, Claire and Marie forming an all girl breakaway. They soon opened a gap and weren't for catching. The lads will have to up their game next Sunday.
Club cycles will continue on Saturday and Sundays. Details will be posted on club Facebook page. New members are always welcome. On Sunday mornings, all levels of cyclists are catered for, with the group split into 3 levels. Sunday morning spins leave Watergrasshill Village at 0900 hrs. New members are very welcome to turn up and cycle provided they have a racing bike, a helmet, and are over 18.
