There was an air of excitement in the village this morning as we gathered to begin the trip north to Donegal for our Malin to Mizen trip.The group traveled in style on Cronins Coaches with Martin Buckley acting as tour guide. Brendan Coakley drove the van with the bikes, with Dave Revins and Aidan O'Brien providing the security. Good progress was made and we reached our accommodation at the Ballyliffin Hotel at 4pm.
After taking in the end of todays stage of the Tour de France, and getting a bite to eat, the van was unloaded and we were all on our bikes, destination Malin Head. The scenery on the Inishowen Penninsula was breath taking. After taking the obligatory photographs at Malin Head, a quick return was made to the hotel. Hope the weather gods smile on us tomorrow.
