MUNSTER HILL CLIMB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018

Dear Club Secretary,

the 2018 Munster Hill Climb Championships are fast approaching and are once again being hosted by Southside Wheely Wheelers Cycling Club, Kilmallock, Co.Limerick. This years event takes place on Sunday Sept 16 on The Lacca climb near Ballyorgan Co.Limerick. Registration is at the Village Inn, Ballyorgan from 11am to 11.30am and the first cyclist is off at 12 noon. The start of the climb is approx 1km from the registration area. As per Cycling Ireland rules, One Day Licences are NOT accepted so entrants must possess either a Full Competition or a Limited Competition Licence to compete. Entrants MUST be either a member of a Munster club OR resident in Munster. You WILL need your licence on the day. Competition fee is €10. Categories include Ladies, Junior, A1,A2,A3,A4, M40, M50 and M60 with medals for the first 3 in each category. Presentation of medals immediately after the competition at the Village Inn, Ballyorgan. Registration is on the day only and closes at 11.30am.

In 2017 we had a great spread in the categories with clubs from all over Munster represented on the day and it would be great to see an even larger group of cyclist take on The Lacca (1.2km, avg 11%, peaking at 16%).
